I don't know if someone has brought this scenario up yet, but how do you think it will play out & who do you think you'd support?

Let the Discussion begin.

As a Republican, I would support Cuomo on a pure policies basis ... if I were a Democrat (which would mean I'd have enough philosophical reason to register as one and believe in what their party claims to believe in), I'd absolutely want Bullock.

If those were the two main candidates in the primary, I think Bullock would win.

Bullock/Bullock

Cuomo is toxic to a huge amount of the base of the party, and the DNC isn't stupid enough to go all in for him.

I think you might as well flip Illinois and Ohio to Bullock. Can't see why those states would swing to Cuomo especially when Cuomo won't have as dominant a majority of black voters as Clinton did.

Does this map give Cuomo a nomination clinch?

I was kinda thinking he would get the support from Obama/Biden/Hillary people which would help him get IL and OH. Also since they are important states (IL to some extent) Cuomo would spend a lot of time there

Yes I believe so. I think superdelegates would side with him more anyway

I don't get this forum's obsession with Bullock at all.

To anybody who's curious as to who I may support in this scenario, probably Bullock.

When you're referring to "Obama/Biden/Hillary people", does it include a lot of Black voters?

I guess. I was just thinking more of voters who usually vote for the more establishment candidates

Just so you know, there are front pages in local NY newspapers calling on progressives to run against Cuomo. If you thought Hillary was a liability against Sanders for not being progressive enough, as the song goes, you ain't seen nothing yet!

In this case, because he's not Andrew Cuomo.

I would easily vote for Bullock.

I fear that Cuomo would win. I hope I'm wrong.
