I doubt mccain will be able alive to see 2020. I say a republican will win his seat on mccain death.

That cracked-out harpy just can't wait for her chance to metastasize to the Senate.

Kelli Ward is an absolutely despicable individual.

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/arizona-republican-says-mccain-should-resign-adds-she-d-be-n785436

Kelli Ward put her hat in the ring to be a possible replacement for Senator McCain should he be unable to complete his term.

If Governor Ducey has to make this choice before the 2018 primary, Ward would actually be clever, as it spares Jeff Flake from a primary challenge, and Ward herself would likely lose a challenge (maybe to Martha McSally?)

No, Ducey would not do that. It would hurt his reputation, you have to consider that.

Lol, not even Ducey is that much of a duce. Kelli Ward is such a piece of trash, she even makes Karen Handel look like an angel.

Who might run in the likely special election in 2018 or 2020? Greg Stanton, Jeff DeWit, Martha McSally, Jan Brewer, Doug Ducey, Ruben Gallego?

Eww, Jan Brewer, she looks like a discolored sun dried tomato that was beaten up by John Cena, she has more wrinkles than a darn prune.

Not saying this to be an asshole, but likely he'll either be dead or resign by then.

That's the point of the question.  The hypothetical special election would be to replace him.

No, I think McCain will be in good shape enough to at least complete his six-year term. After all, his mother Roberta McCain is still alive today at 105 years old. So he has good genes.

I think he will be in great shape, but I can see him resigning.

If there is a special election in 2018 (hopefully due to resignation rather than death) my prediction is the Democrats win one seat and Republicans win the other. I could be wrong, especially since the Ward/Arpaio wing would almosf certainly be favored in an open primary.

Open primary? They would be favored in a closed primary because only Republicans can vote in a closed GOP primary.
