Frank because even if he were losing, he'd find a way to steal the election. Plus, Trump is no Will Conway.

No one's seen that Zoey Barnes bimbo anywhere, where is she? Ask Scheming Frank!

Trump wins on that alone.

[Mild Season 4 spoilers]

President Francis J. Underwood (D-SC) / First Lady Claire Underwood (D-TX): 49,5%, 299 EV
Donald J. Trump (R-NY) / Gov. Michael R. Pence (R-IN): 45,5%, 239 EV

Keeping Blythe on the ticket would probably have been a better decision, even if Frank had to pay him off, but whatever. I haven't watched the 5th Season yet so please warn before spoiling!

Kind of tangential, but I think it would've been really interesting to have a Trump-esque character as Underwood's opponent instead of the Boy Scout they went with. Would've been a great contrast in styles.

Deadbeat Peter Russo sure to lose Pennsylvania governor's race! He's drunk like a dog! Sad!

Deadbeat Peter Russo actually is dead. A lot of people are mentioning that F. U. Frank was in PA! Sad!

I think they would both be about as likely to be impeached as the counterpart. XD

Considering that the only thing that Underwood ever does is threaten people, change course rapidly with little rhyme or reason, and give mediocre minute long speeches, Trump in a landslide.

Trump would definitely try to label Underwood as "Filthy Frank" based on his moral character and ribs habit, causing the Internet to rejoice.

Underwood Easily. He would appeal to the working class. Plus I have a feeling he would be incredibly good at getting under Trump's skin. He could probably cause him to have a major meltdown at the debates easily. I could also see some nasty Trump tweets about Claire

I'm not sure you all saw the same show I saw...

That said Francis Urquhart would wipe the floor with Trump if he were magically transported to America and given natural born citizenship.

Frank Underwood is a dystopian political genius/mastermind. Trump misspelled "wiretapped" and suffers from devastating psychological disease. My money is on Underwood.

He isn't a genius though. He can't negotiate, he breaks promises at their precise moment of *in* convenience, he gets completely manhandled by Not!Putin. He has no grasp of how to implement domestic policy, he's horribly uncharismatic on the campaign trail.

You don't get primaried as a sitting President if you're a political genius unless you're LBJ and mess up on a historic scale. You especially don't almost *lose* that primary except by luck your fanatically loyal (and mostly also similarly dumb) attendant whom you've cast off manages to torpedo their campaign of his own accord.

Basically the only thing he has going for him is his drive and moral flexibility, which I grant he has. He would, however, find 75 convoluted ways to shoot himself in the foot before the party Convention.

ATTENTION: DON'T READ THIS POST IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED SEASON 5

Underwood would win, because the Underwoods are ruthless and don't lose. Even if Trump looked like he was winning on election night, Frank would somehow rig the election to win it (like he did in season 5)

Side note: If like me you find it unbelievable that Trump still tweets about "Crooked Hillary" and the unfairness of an election he actually WON, could you even imagine what he would have to say about Frank's corruption and election victory? Trump's twitter account would be insane in this hypothetical scenario.
