Let's say Harry S. Truman rises from the death and is the Demoratic candidiate in 2016. Would he defeat the current GOP contenders?

Maps are appreciated.

Depends who the Republican candidate is, certainly the political environment would be a factor. Hypothetically, against likely nominee Jeb Bush, in today's environment I'd give it to Truman.

√ Truman: 298 (51%)

Bush: 240 (48%)

I'll give it to Give 'em hell Harry, for his feisty campaign style.

Former President Harry S. Truman/Senator Kirsten Gillibrand: 52.5% and 331 EV.
Former Governor Jeb Bush/Governor Scott Walker: 46.85% and 207 EV.
