This should put to rest one of those COVID vaccine conspiracy theories:

Covid vaccines not linked to deaths, major US study finds

That would be true if the sorts of people who believe that the COVID vaccine killed people weren’t also the sorts of people who don’t trust medical studies

Oh, hardly just that period your entire claimed personal history in multiple threads is highly spurious and just screams Internet troll. GG wiz you say, sure I think it was justifiable for for the United States to turn away Jewish refugees from the holocaust, but I understand this because I'm part black, part Indian, my parents suffered discrimination in South Africa, Oh and my grandparent fled Poland to escape the Nazis. Not to mention my family are recent immigrants to Australia. Honest! Now an issue on trans rights comes up for you to bash, and you're conveniently trans as well.

Impossible? No. But everything you've claimed about your back history, like the rest of your posting history, just screams "edgy teenage troll".  It would be foolish To take anything you claim At face value.

Badger is questioning Pie's gender identity. You should add this to your complaint, Klob

That's  a usual and grossly  Disingenuous post, as in A-day ending in Y, from Mr. Reactionary. I am questioning his entire back story because or no because it is ludicrous and everything this kid is posted just screams teenage  Is edge Queen troll.  Everything about this  Person screams typical Internet BS "I'm totally and honestly a black guy, but I think Obama is the worst for totally real"  One would have to be a fool, which scans here, to take anything and I mean anything this kid posts without a Boulder of salt.

And per usual as well, a typical Tactic by him to grasp at straws to claim anti trans transbigotry after they assiduously and aggressively defend law simply defend Republican state laws bashing gay and transpeople people. "See, we're not the real bigots, liberals are!"

Caitlyn Jenner is a trans person - the group is not a monolith. Pieman may be a teenager with much to learn about the world, but that doesn't mean you should willfully misgender her, even if you think she's lying. You just don't have a strong enough case that she is.

From a broad historical standpoint, probably 1994, given how that swept out a lot of Democratic presence and ended Dems' dominance downballot.

I have two issues with this.

1. Post 1980, the Democratic majorities in the Congressional and State level were probably always going to fall once a Democrat was Elected President. They might not have held for as long as they did without the 1974 and 1982 Waves.

2. After 1994, the Democrats were able to check their loses and gain back a lot of lost ground in 2006 and 2008.  Only to lose it in 2010.

At the same time, the party's down ballot strength was pretty much finished off after 2002/2004.

How did Phil Bredesen, Brad Henry, etc. continue to win in 2006 and 2010 even Mike Ross making it competitive in AR in 2014?

I did say they checked their loses and regained a lot of lost ground in 2006 and 2008. Then 2010 happened. 2014 proved that 2010 was not a one time thing.

Sure but that’s cause democrats had two disastrous midterm nights under Obama not just 1 . Bill Clinton’s approvals were in the upper 60s by 1998 while Obama’s were in the low 40s which is why democrats were able to keep further losses from happening

No... not anymore.

Earlier in COVID perhaps, but now pretty sure with vaccinations and all that, that there is also a grassroots movement which basically is like: "We got the shots... we got the boosters... we've been wearing the masks.... and now we want a chance to breathe and those who haven't chosen to do all the right things it's on you if you if get it and face serious medical issues.

Once at my destination, prefer to do a lot of activities.

However, despise pulling over at every little 'quirky' or interesting roadside stop when driving somewhere, and prefer to just drive from one point to the next, only stopping for gas, food, etc. It's why I don't care for traditional 'road trips.'

Hughes would likely have taken the US into WWI.  Unlike Wilson, he would likely have gotten the League of Nations Treaty ratified.

Part of that would have been because Hughes would not have had a debilitating stroke.  Part of that would have been because Hughes would not have killed the treaty over partisan considerations.

What many people don't seem to realize is that it was WOODROW WILSON that blocked the ratification of the treaty.  Henry Cabot Lodge (whom Wilson hated on an intensely personal level) got the GOP to attach a number of "Reservations" to the treaty.  The "Reservations" didn't amount to a Hill of Beans, but they were, as Prof. Thomas Bailey observed, a Republican wrapper to Wilson's loaf of bread.  Wilson wanted a Democratic wrapper, and he instructed Senate Democrats to vote against the Treaty.  When it was killed, Lodge refused to bring it up again.

Charles Evans Hughes would have not let such considerations get in the way of ratification of the treaty.  He would have made his peace with the isolationists in his own party.  Indeed, this accomplishment would have mitigated the harsh peace terms imposed on Germany which led to the sort of resentment that led to the rise of the Nazis and Hitler.  And Wilson's stubbornness was exacerbated by his stroke.  Hughes would not have had that problem, either.

Hughes would have been elected by the solid margins Republican Presidents were re-elected back then.

I hate to be a nitpick, but...you like Rush Limbaugh? Really? I'm sorry,  he's just a terrible, terrible, bigoted sexist and racist all around. Let's see if the following facts help you change your opinion:

a.) He mocked a 13-year-old Chelsea Clinton (Bill and Hillary's daughter, that is) for her appearance and called her a 'dog'. To quote Wikipedia:
Quote
Limbaugh referred to media coverage of Socks, the Clintons' cat. He then stated, "But did you know there is also a White House dog?" and a presented a picture of Chelsea Clinton who was 13 years old at the time.
But then again - Trump himself has made too many disparaging and very insulting statements about women's looks to count.

b.) He has made numerous racist comments about African-Americans. To quote a line from Wikipedia - "He once opined that all newspaper composite pictures of wanted criminals resembled Jesse Jackson, and another time that "the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons.""

c.) He thought the death of 90 million Native Americans was worthy of a joke: "Holocaust 90 million Indians? Only 4 million left? They all have casinos, what’s to complain about?"

d.) Limbaugh is an utter classist. He has defended the ultra-rich and opposed taxes for that group on multiple occasions, and opposed basic welfare and support for the poor and disabled, including kids. This includes the free school lunches you are a proponent of.

e.) Limbaugh has minimised HIV/AIDS and made it the butt of many a joke. He once mocked the death of gay people from AIDS on his show. He called it "Rock Hudson's disease." He played the song "Another one Bites the Dust" when Freddie Mercury died of AIDS.

f.) Limbaugh has said that there is no need for sexual consent. He mocked a campus in Ohio that required verbal sexual consent, and said: "How many of you guys ... have learned that 'no' means 'yes' if you know how to spot it?" Meh, who cares about sexual consent anyway? At least, the people who supported Trump after Access Hollywood might not.

g.) An absolute hypocrite (like, Scott DesJarlais levels), Limbaugh has advocated a very hard line against drugs and drug use (including marijuana). Which is fine. But what about the fact that he himself was in a drug rehab facility? And has prescription drug addiction? I guess it's okay if he does it but not okay if anyone else does it, right?

h.) Limbaugh lived and died as a climate change denier who spewed many lies about climate change and insisted it was a hoax. This is true of many conservatives, of course, including many you strongly support.

i.) Limbaugh said of feminism: "[It] was established so that unattractive ugly broads could have easy access to the mainstream of society." Then again..you supported Trump even after Access Hollywood, so you may discount this as meaningless.

j.) You're an anti-Iraq isolationist, correct? So if nothing else, this one should hit close to home. He suggested bombing Iraq for no reason at all except as...revenge for September 11. He was bloodthirsty and loved the idea of killing innocent, impoverished Iraqi civilians to avenge the deaths of Americans at the hands of terrorists who did not represent the way the vast, vast majority of Iraqis thought about Islam and America. Because really, who cares if millions of innocent Iraqis, including children, are killed if it makes a few bloodthirsty Americans feel good about themselves? About the Abu Ghraib scandal (it was extremely gruesome, upsetting and shocking, and if you don't believe me, check out its Wiki page): "This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation ... And we're going to ruin people's lives over it and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time." So much for America not practicing torture.

k.) He's taken a 180 on NAFTA, which I believe you, as an America First protectionist, oppose. Back in the nineties, he was a strong defender of NAFTA. As he realised his average listener was gravitating towards protectionism, however, he hastily reversed course. But given that you supported Trump, the flip-flopper of all flip-floppers, I don't think this should be much of an issue to you.

l.) Limbaugh spouted blatantly racist 'birther' conspiracy theories about Obama's citizenship and birthplace. Then again, so did the Orange Man.

m.) Limbaugh has made very serious and offensive allegations regarding 'false-flag operations' in both the US and New Zealand.

n.) In case it's not clear enough, Limbaugh is as much of a, if not an even bigger, pathological liar than Trump. From Wiki:
Quote
Of Limbaugh's controversial statements and allegations they have investigated, Politifact has rated 84% as ranging from "Mostly False" to "Pants On Fire" (signifying false statements that cannot be reasonably assessed as merely errors), with 5% of Limbaugh's contested statements rising to the level of "Mostly True" and 0% rated "True". These debunked allegations by Limbaugh include suggestions that the existence of gorillas disproves the theory of evolution, that Ted Kennedy sent a letter to Soviet General Secretary Yuri Andropov seeking to undercut President Reagan, that a recent lack of hurricanes disproves climate change, and that President Obama wanted to mandate circumcision.

o.) As far as Charlottesville goes, a lot of us think that the award of Worst Take should go to Trump's "both sides", hands down. HOWEVER, Limbaugh soundly outdoes Trump even on this front. As Wikipedia states, not only did he blame antifa/BLM, he also said it was a conspiracy between Terry McAuliffe, George Soros, et. al. -
Quote
After the white supremacist Unite the Right rally, in which a counter-protestor was murdered in the Charlottesville car attack, Limbaugh claimed that the violence had been provoked by Black Lives Matter activists, Antifa, and Robert Creamer. He also claimed without evidence that the police response had been deliberately restrained by Terry McAuliffe as a botched attempt to start a presidential bid in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries, and that it was part of a campaign by "international financiers" such as George Soros to start a Second American Civil War to remove its status as a global superpower.

p.) Limbaugh mocked Michael Fox's Parkinson's disease and claimed he was acting/exaggerating it out...because Fox supported stem cell research:
Quote
In October 2006, Limbaugh said Michael J. Fox, who has Parkinson's disease, had exaggerated the effects of his disability in a political TV advertisement advocating for funding of stem cell research. Limbaugh said that Fox in the ad had been "shameless" in "moving all around and shaking", and that Fox had not taken "his medication or he's acting, one of the two". Fox said "the irony of it is I was too medicated", adding that there was no way to predict how his symptoms would manifest...In 2012, Fox said Limbaugh in 2006 had acted on "bullying instincts" when "he said I faked it. I didn't fake it.", and said Limbaugh's goal was to have him marginalized and shut down for his stem cell stance.

q.) He called Iraq War veterans who opposed the war "the phony soldiers". This from a man who never served in active combat himself.

r.) Limbaugh, just like Trump, spread lies and conspiracy theories about COVID19, insisting it was just "the common cold" back in February 2020.

s.) A series of controversies  regarding him and Sandra Fluke are detailed in this Wikipedia page. Listing them all out is not something I'm very interested in doing, particularly given how lewd, even by his/Trump's standards, his commentary was.

Is THIS the man you want to support and defend? Really? You're on the path to disavowing Trump (at least I hope so), so while you're at it, why not this horrible, bigoted, racist, sexist, Islamaphobic, bloodthirsty proto-Trump too?

g.) An absolute hypocrite (like, Scott DesJarlais levels), Limbaugh has advocated a very hard line against drugs and drug use (including marijuana).

(SKIP)
He’s just preferable to Alex Jones, not necessarily that I like him

Oh, LOL,...I should've seen the post, I thought you were indicating you support Limbaugh. My mistake. And imagine: I spent nearly an hour  Undecided  writing that entire wall of text. Still, hopefully it'll serve some purpose in persuading those who read it that Limbaugh is a massive, massive, massive HP.
