I'll play as Clegg then.

FWIW I can't see John McDonnell becoming Labour leader in 2012 (as the rules that let Corbyn win were introduced in 2014) but the butterfly could be say Gordon Brown (or whoever was leader after 2010) changing the leadership rules in 2012, and then John McDonnell somehow winning- which would lead to the coalition collapsing.

I've got a mountain of questions Lumine; and thought it would be easier to post here so everyone can see?

1.) Has the general election campaign officially started? E.g can I spend tomorrow uploading all speeches and stuff.

2.) Do we post all our campaign stuff publicly like the allocation of CP points, or do we sent it in PMs (like in the ASIOF Game)

3.) Do we need to copy you into PM's between players?

I'm really looking forward to this

Will have all my stuff posted in the next hour-I'm writing it up as I watch Love Island which probably makes me awful even for a Lib Dem

I assume we post debate answers in the debate thread (seems obvious but no-one else has done it yet)

I'll have my turn posted tomorrow morning- we use to joke that we 'opposed the tories, and hated the Lib Dems' in Labour, and that's certainly being proven in this turn Tongue

For non-UK players who haven't watched UK election nights there much more exciting because we have a tradition of sending Politicians into TV studios to talk after the exit poll, but before the actual results come out. (Exit Poll at 10, first results at 11, first heavy stream of results after 1, clear view at 2/3)

It basically leaves them trapped trying to spin results they just found out about, and results that could be wrong Tongue

If anyone wants to jump boat to the Liberal Democrats I'd love someone to play as either Cable (Shadow Chancellor) or Farron (party president) and send me a PM

Also do we know what's happening with Sinn Fein?

British Majorities are always harder to work out because they abstain; and you have the Speaker (and three deputy speakers; with two from the opposite party meaning you lose 4 votes)

Likewise I will be continuing to try and recruit some people.

Apologies for the lack of updates; I've had a hectic weekend and will post something tomorrow

I'll allow Barnes to give the first post in the Westminster thread as the Government has the first response in the Queens speech

Whats the plan now? Assume we're going to do the first bills in parliament, and get ready for the 2012 local elections (which will hopefully be a more limited campaign to help Lumine Tongue )
