We just need someone to stay out of Middle Eastern wars, although the military-industrial complex and the Israel/Jewish lobbies will find that unacceptable.
Right, because we Jews love starting wars everywhere! Roll Eyes Go away, antisemite,
I have nothing against Jews, I'm against war mongering, corruption, and the denying of basic freedoms and liberties to Palestinians and all other oppressed peoples.

Stop playing stupid. You didn't just write Israel lobby you wrote "Israel/JEWISH LOBBIES."

Implying Jews like starting wars across the world, which is a blatant antisemitic calling card.

Also, Israel does not "start wars" for the sake of dragging in countries to "fight them for Israel."

The Six Day War was started in response to a series of aggressive actions by multiple Arabic countries.

Please explain AIPAC's war mongering against Iran

Oh, yea, Israel is the one war-mongering? Not Iran? Not Iran who is calling for Israel's destruction and for war against the United States? Not Iran who is propping up Assad and Hezbollah? Not Iran who has, in the past, propped up Hamas?

Not Iran who wants to obtain nuclear weapons so they can secure economic, military and political dominance over the middle east?

Yea, poor Iran. Israel is being soooo mean to a sponsor of terrorism!

Also, still not addressing your use of the term "Jewish lobby" I see.
AIPAC claims that it wants the US to support their Jewish state because of Biblical reasons, so it is a Jewish lobby. Not all Jews support AIPAC, just as not all Muslims support terror groups. When Israel was founded, they forced the native Palestinian people to leave their own lands and were not compensated for it, thus attempting to destroy their culture. This is continuing with the continued construction of Jewish-only settlements in the West Bank. Iran can talk tough just like our President who wants to go back into Iraq and take the oil. It is empty rhetoric, and they will never walk their talk. They know that Israel has nukes and the unconditional support of U.S. government politicians who are on the AIPAC payroll, and they will never be suicidal enough to directly attack Israel. If Assad, Hezbollah, and Hamas are "terrorists" then why does the Israeli government kill ten Palestinians for every one one of their own. Iran is just acting in its own national security interests, just like the U.S. when it gives billions of dollars a year to Israel to expand their arsenal to use against Arabs who just happen to step out of line with the regime. I'm sure that if Jews are under Palestinian rule, they would also resort to terrorism, which was virtually nonexistent before the Jews took over. Iran want to have nuclear weapons because they don't want to submit to the whims of an American-Israeli hegemony to control all of their relations with the rest of the world. Currently, there is a moral equivalency between all stakeholders in the Middle East mess, however, don't you dare resort to calling me "anti-American" because I have this foreign policy view. I am against all wars, and I have a live and let live attitude, and I would love to see peace in all countries around the world. I don't think America should go around the world killing civilians half way around the world to impose its own worldview in order to make it easier for multi-national corporations to make even larger profits in the false name of "national security interests." If the people of a country are content with being ruled under the mullahs, the Kims, or the commies, then leave them be. They will rise up against their governments in they truly desire regime change and do as America did in 1776. We should focus on improving lives for Americans in America through more social spending rather than military spending, as well by protecting individual liberties as stated in the Constitution and Bill of Rights in order to make America a truly great place. If we can have the highest Amount of freedom combined with the highest standard of living, we can peacefully lead the world to following our example of a beacon of hope for all oppressed peoples in the world. This shouldn't be considered the "Democrat" view; this should be the American view. I know that you seem firmly entrenched in your worldview as I am in mine, but I would want to continue in a civilized discourse in order to find solutions to problems, since that is the very point of politics.
P.S. I'm not an anti-semite and I recognize the need for a Jewish state, but I believe the way that its establishment was carried out was immoral and cruel as well as the policies of its government for many decades. I'm sorry for insulting you, but you insulted me. Let's just respect each other. This is Atlas after all.

While there are many, many things wrong with your post, I want to take a minute to point out that unlike the Palestinian terrorist groups, Israel doesn't deliberately try to murder civilians, you anti-Semitic diplodocus!

Yes, it does. There are 100's of cases of innocent Palestine civilians being killed for no good reason. Not only that, Israel disproportionately targets hospitals & schools in the Gaza region. This is not to condone Hamas or any of those groups but in the West Bank as well, the number of civilians frisked & murdered by the Israeli army is high.

There are multiple human rights organization including Amnesty International who have documented cases. There are multiple cases of complaints to International bodies including the UN about human rights violations.

Netanyahu is a terrible guy. Atleast when Rabin was the Israeli leader, the administration was much better. He was much more nuanced & moderate.

Netanyahu is certainly a horrible person (I'd even go so far as to say he's an evil man for trying to prevent any sort of peace in Israel simply to advance his own political career), but the rest of this post is ridiculous.  Do human rights violations sometimes happen b/c of rogue Israelis?  Sure.  Should Israel be better about punishing the perpetrators?  Probably.  However, targeting civilians has never been Israeli policy while the Palestinians have made it the foundation of their entire political strategy during this conflict and that's simply an objective fact.  Furthermore, I call BS on all you people who scream bloody murder whenever a Jewish Israeli does something bad while ignoring the Palestinian suicide bombers.  It's pretty clear why such people only get angry at Israelis and it ain't b/c they give a rat's a** about the plight of the Palestinians.

Are there civilian casualties sometimes?  Yes, but at least Israel actively works to prevent them which is a lot more than you can say for any remotely influential group on the Palestinian side.  And btw, it's easy for folks here to sit in front of a computer in Seattle or wherever and complain about Israeli security measures being too harsh.  Something tells me a lot of these folks would be humming a different tune if they couldn't even buy eggs at the grocery store without some nutjob blowing them up or worse blowing up their kid's school bus.

I have nothing against Jews, I'm against war mongering, corruption, and the denying of basic freedoms and liberties to Palestinians and all other oppressed peoples.

What war did Israel ever start , oh wait none cause all their wars have been a war of self defense .

1967 war.

I'm far from uncritical of Israel, but the Six-Day War is the classic example of a justified preemptive war.

One could even argue that the closure of the Suez Canal was a legit casus belli.

Let's not get carried away, Egypt was well within its rights to close the Suez Canal

Here is the deal. Unfortunately, Palestine people are living under military occupation for 50 years. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Regardless of whether or not it is a government policy, there are widespread human right abuses, unwanted deaths of innocent civilians on a large scale. This is not me saying but most Human Rights organizations, including Amnesty International. There is a reason why every major country (or most atleast) oppose the occupation & illegal settlements & the human rights violations - Look at UN resolutions to the behaviour of Western Christian Democratic countries in Europe.

There are millions of people (Palestine) who became refugees after the 6 day water (Including their descendants) but can't return. Will Israel end the Jewish state & create a 1 nation democratic state & give palestine people democracy or will they finally facilitate the creation of a 2 nation state. What happens to these people? For all the murder of human rights which Saudi does, they are not occupying a state for 50 years. Netanyahu is truly deplorable & even if the Israeli establishment takes certain policies to limit casualities, the end result is terrible.

I don't why do we have to drag Palestine people & their violence to justify Israeli misdemeanours. I mean sure everyone will agree that a certain section even within the PLO encourage violence & that shouldn't be condoned. But you also have to understand the despair & sad state of these people. They have tried peace, dialogue, diplomacy, Intifada, violence & have nothing to show for it but to live under perpetual military occupation. I am sure most Jewish people don't subscribe to the occupation & settlements or I hope so. It is sad because in general Jewish people historically had a strong literary intellectual left wing section & have done incredible strides in agriculture, defense & a variety of ideas. The Netanyahu administration has done terrible damage & has aggravated many areas. He is a terrible extreme right wing guy. I really liked Rabin, he was a great leader for Israel who was assassinated & called a Nazi because he tried peace.

I feel sad & sorry that Rabin had to die & extremists took over. And I don't thing the idea of not attacking a country first makes a country immune to criticism. Iran hasn't attacked a country for many decades but does support certain violent splinter extremist groups here & there.
