Congratulations on Scott and Wallace for their reelection,we will hold the senate for at least 2 additional years.

2 years? Your majority is 4-2, and there are 2 elections for labor held senate seats in October, so you could lose your majority in just 2 months.

A month IRL represents a year in game time.

Btw,
Unless the bylaws have changed, non Labor candidates can only be endorsed if no member of Labor is running for this election.

The presidential election won't be held now, but it is always an important point to remind everyone willing go seek the nomination. Smiley

Alright,

I never intended to be back in this game as I was really happy in retirement as Chief Justice. But the drama that happened changed my retirement plans as the Labor Party was facing a massive crisis with the last presidential defeat. And this party means a lot for me, a lot of fond memories when I was running this party with Griffin, I couldn't let this party fall (and let this game fall as if one major party collapses, so does the game). This is why I chose to run for chair in order to avoid letting this party collapse.

With the Labor Party now controlling totally congress, this crisis Labor was facing is over. And so is my time as Labor Chairman. I hereby resign as Labor chairman.

I have found a great replacement: Ted Bessell whom I'm sure will be a great Chair.

Best of luck with everything, and hopefully we will retake the presidency!!!

Hi, guys. I'm declaring my candidacy for Chairman of the Labor Party.

I understand that many of you are going to be a little skeptical, and that's fair. However, here are some reasons I think this job is a good fit:
 - I have a very broad variety of experience in Atlasia, serving as a Governor, a Congressman, a Senator, and a Cabinet Secretary. I understand how the game works, and what a party needs to do to succeed in it.
 - As a bigwig in the Federalist Party, I assisted with GOTV efforts and other aspects of campaign management, which are critical for the successful operation of a political party.

If you have any questions, you can ask here or shoot me a PM.

I think I speak for the whole of the party when I say that Windjammer — with his years of experience in politics, his calm and quiet style of leadership, and his willingness to be content with carrots when everyone else was waving sticks — was exactly what we needed in a chairman back in June, and the result of last weekend's election confirms it. Thank you, Mr. Chairman, and best wishes.

I second the nomination of Ted Bessell for Chair of the Labor National Committee, and move that this convention affirm his election by acclamation.

Congrats to Windjammer for doing his job to rebuild our party from a crisis. Hopefully Ted Bessell does a good job at keeping the momentum for the Labor Party.

So inactive Feds can just join Labor and waltz into the Chairmanship? Am I the only one who finds that sad?

(Also...hmmm...Ted's getting a pretty good deal here...maybe I should become a "proud progressive" Wink)

I think it is actually encouraging that Labor is being led by a relative moderate in Ted rather than a fire-breather like Adam.

Pretty strong words about someone you 5th preferenced in December and 1st preferenced in February for the House.

by the way, make sure you vote for Ted, Fremont citizens!

Kind of odd that Labor is rallying behind someone who has been in their party for only 4 days, and has a long history with the Federalists.

But I guess windjammer's talks about the importance of party loyalty were meant to be applied very loosely Tongue

I missed the "strong words." Did I accidentally say his mother was fat or something? If so, I guess I should proofread more...
