The surprising thing was how badly he failed in states that were supposed to be at least cliffhangers. New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Colorado, Virginia, Iowa all delivered solid Obama victories, even with the polls in all of them showing a Romney victory to be within the bounds of possibility. All in all it made for a happy but somewhat boring election night.
