Their biggest ad was Kerry's own testimony.

And Christmas in Cambodia was proven to be a lie on Kerry's part.

The first ad, which is the one that created all the furor, was the one saying Kerry didn't deserve one of his medals, I think it was the Silver Star.

Before the 2000 election, I considered myself a Democratic leaning Independent. After the 2000 election, I became a staunch Democrat. I didn't cut my hair for months. It was ugly. I pretty much expected us to lose 2004. I liked Gore more and I felt he would really make a difference. In 2004, I just felt like getting rid of Bush would really make a difference. Kerry gave us few reasons to vote FOR him.

I was the same way prior to 2002 thought without the hair thing.

Although I didn't really know what to think in December 2000, looking back, it hurts much more, because I believe we really should have won.

In 2000, we gained seats in both the House and Senate (Senate I know we did, House I think so, don't hold me to it) and the left candidates decidedly beat the rightist ones combined in the popular vote. I don't feel like arguing it, but I just really don't like what went down in Florida, and believe that if the election had been held in the fairest way possible, Al Gore should have won. Basically, it hurts more because we should have won it, the factors were in place. We were also a hell of a whole lot closer in 2000 than in 2004.

2000, since it was a lot more shabby.
