Smith would be OK if he wasn't such a corporate tool.

I got linked to Kent Conrad, Tim Johnson, Fritz Hollings (this is only 2004 Senators), and Bob Byrd.

This thing is pretty cool.

My best was a 68% match with Feingold.

He was my worst match (Surprise!).

My best was Trent Lott, which was also a surprise (only 50% match on social issues).

One of the more decent Senators and one that I would easily support in the Republican primary.

My best was Mike Enzi (R-WY), followed by Graham, Bunning and Inholfe.  (the latter two make no sense)

Fortunately Lamar Alexander and Chuck Hagel were in the top 10, which are probably the most appropriate actual matches.

Worst was Wyden and Levin

Lamar and Hagel are two very good Republican senators.  I met Enzi once, but he's not very impressive.  He only seems to care about energy legislation.

My closest (top three) Senate match-ups were:

1) Arlen Specter (R-PA)
2) Mary Landrieu (D-LA)
3) Former senator, Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-CO)

Maybe I ought to be a Republican Wink

Those were the only compatible matches from my Top 10 - just as well since Inhofe came in at no. 4 (don't know how)

1. Inhofe (OK) 75%
2. Bunning (KY) 73%
3. Kyl (AZ) 73%

You surprise me States

Let's see...

Former Congressman Bob Barr? LOL - Huh wha? Now I guess I have a streak of anti-establishmentism, just a streak, but uh... okay.

Like: Across some of the categories, John Hostettler, Frank LoBiondo, Jim Duncan, Jeff Sessions, Don Nickles. I'm in the 60th-69th percentile with most of these people.

Not like: Greg Meeks and Chuck Rangel at about 8%. I have a score of a whopping 4% compared with Dan Inouye. Didn't know he was so far left. Wow, he's left. Kerry and Edwards at 18%.

Supreme Court - For the most part, I'm left of the conservatives and right of the liberals. Huh. Go figure.

Pretty cool site.

Senator Gordon Smith of Oregon...REPUBLICAN...Senator Gordon Smith. Seems a nice fellow, but i won't be changing my avatar yet! If he runs for President in the near future then I might have to do just that Smiley

well, if it's any consolation, I always get Al Sharpton as my perfect match.  Seriously.  Like you, I don't think I'll get a nice shiny new avatar either.  Certainly not based on some nerd-created internet quiz that either has or ought to have the prepositional phrase "...for dummies" in its title.  Also, I've stopped calling myself a Sharpton Republican like I used to (in the way that there are "Reagan Democrats") and started, like bullmoose does, calling myself LWRP.  Maybe you can call yourself a Smith Democrat, or, more precisely, an if-I-were-eligible-to-vote-in-the-USA-I'd-be-a-Smith Democrat.  Bet that comes with a hot pink avatar.  Or lavender.  You know, pink plus blue makes lavender.  Well, actually, lavender's spoken for as I just learned on Will'n'Grace.  But you have to admit, that lavender brittain-shaped icon would be so manly.

Also, I get about 77% with Kerry and 29% with Bush on the select smart test.  Good thing it's not just any 29%, but the important 29% that matters.

Best not to take these little results too seriously.

LWRP? Left Wing of the Republican Party?

Otherwise...this post is pure comic genius...genius as a whole, really.
