GOP Primary:
Corker 41
Blackburn 39

Corker 51
Carr 24

Corker 52
Ogles 15

Unfortunately, they didn't poll Mark Green, who is now considering a run for Senate.

But, we do have regional numbers on a Corker-Blackburn race:

East Tennessee: Corker +23
Middle Tennessee: Blackburn +5
West Tennessee: Blackburn +13

Green would give the democrats an actual chance in Tennessee if he ran, please let him retire in shame and not cost us a safe seat.

Is this Corker being unpopular with all Tennesseans or just the Republican base?

This poll was just of likely GOP primary voters, but his overall approval was recently measured at 52%.

More the latter. He's not enough of a fire-breather.

Corker is a good senator and he would have been a terrific VP (and eventually president hehe) if Trump had picked him so please don't drop him Tennessee.

I thought Tennessee wasn't exactly a firebrand state, as far as Republicans go.

Bill Frist had to retire in 2006 and so did Fred Thompson. So, and we are moving to a new decade and new blood, Corker isn't that type.

Alexander is usually considered to be rather likely to retire in 2020, which (combined with his closeness to the Trump Administration) will probably work to save Corker from the firebreathers.

TN has a history of producing pretty good Republicans (and pretty HORRIBLE Democrats), so this would be a shame if they tossed out Corker for a crazy.

Would their voting records really be that different?  I guess Corker does something bipartisan once in a blue moon.

R
Heritage Action Scorecard:
Rep. Blackburn- 88%
Senator Corker- 50%

That's a significant enough difference for funding from conservative outside groups and for me to say, yes their voting records would be considered quite different.

I'd be all in for a Blackburn run.
