New Jersey Sen. Bill Baroni wins the 2012 GOP presidential nomination over Rick Santorum and Ron Paul. He faces off against President Barack Obama, who wins Democratic presidential renomination. Who wins?

Baroni is pro-same sex marriage, that would have been a big no no in the Republican presidential primaries. Rick Santorum probably would have stayed longer in the presidential primary race, and it might have cost Baroni the conservative base in November 2012.

Baroni was pro-gay marriage and pro-abortion.

Baroni's path to the GOP nomination is NH, be in third place in SC, do well in FL, force Romney out by Super Tuesday.

He would have to pick a more conservative running mate to balance the ticket and appeal in the Midwest and South.

Baroni would probably have picked Paul Ryan or Nikki Haley.

Gov. Christie would probably have been proud of Baroni, or deep down jealous that a senator is the nominee and not him.
