romney is actually pretty popular in mass (considering his conservatism)

who else do the republicans have?  i suspect lt. governor kerry healey will run for the republican nomination.  she isnt a particularly strong candidate, however.  although she is much more liberal than romney and blasted him for his morning after pill stance.
