As a former Mass resident until '02, there was some talk about Kerry running in '02 against Jane Swift and balked after hearing Romney was going to run instead of Swift. I can't see Kerry running for governor. It would make him look desperate. I think Romney would crush him by 10 or 12 points.
If it was '02 and it was Kerry against Swift, Kerry would have won by 20 points and he might have beaten Romney by a hair as well.
