I'll be an intern in the Los Angeles office, in the Ronald Reagan building.  For those outside Ca, the Reagan building is down the street from LA Citry Hall, its a huge place where all the district offices for state government, Governor, Lt Governor, Assembly Speaker, etc, are.  Its the office where Arnold himself works when he's in LA, which is pretty often.

You know, I hated you for your love of the Patriots but being a Toomey and Swann supporter makes everything alright.  Smiley

Midterms is here again oh lord,
Approvals haven’t been in the positive in a month or more
I hope the state holds on a little longer

Oh the wheel in the California sky keeps on turnin’
I don’t know where I’ll be in '07
Wheel in the California sky keeps on turnin’

I’ve been trying to make it work
Got to win it before too long
I can’t take this very much longer
I’m stranded in the partisanship of the legislature
Don’t think I’m ever gonna make another political run again
My political career is setting
It’s kissing the day goodbye

Wheel in the California sky keeps on turnin’
I don’t know where I’ll be in '07
Wheel in the California sky keeps me urnin’

That's why God gave us politics AND sports, so everybody can be on each others side at some point.

What about political sports?  It almost turned out that way.

Superbowl XXXVII was between the New England Patriots (Kerry) and the Carolina Panthers (Edwards).
2004 World Series was 1 game away from being Boston Red Sox (Kerry) and Houston Astros (Bush).

Duke wasn't in trouble when I was there.  This is the first time someone has been in troubl before I got there and not after.

Yeah its kinda rad, so I was eager to brag.

Working for COuncil, when I go to work every day I park on Fountain Avenue and walk over to the Neighborhood City Hall and I look to my north as I walk and I see the Hollwood sign!  I work in the shadow of the Hollywood sign!

Starting in late August, I'll go to work in a building named for the greatest President in the last 100 years, for the Governor of the nation's largest state who also happens to be the biggest movie star perhaps ever.

Not a bad life.

john, that is definitely a step up from the duke.

i wont name drop, but in a recent conversation with a southern congressman (a democrat, but certainly no partisan), he had not one good word to say about duke.  from i gathered, he wasnt a well liked person to start with.
