50.85% for Macron in Var. Told you he'd bring it home.

But Obama's interference in the French election through his endorsement of Macron was OK?

Considering it was a statement of a former world leader who has no political power anymore and he didn't have the US hack LePen and try and leak something, yes, yes it is.

hate-stalking the clintons (both hillary and chelsea) is soooo...strange. just ignore them, they aren't going to get any public office anyway.

Tom Perez wouldn't be DNC chair if Obama didn't have any political power any more.

Knives are already out in the FN ranks. Panzerdaddy says Phillipot should make himself discrete, and that it will be the FN congress to decide how to move onwards from here. Phillipot responds by reminding his audience of Panzerdaddy's 2002 second round score.

"Favorite" comments from around the net:

- Spain needs to build a wall on the French boarder to keep out the Muslim wave.

- Within 1 year the Louvre will be ransacked within a year so we need to send in American troops to take all the art.

So once again, the polls were spot on. In fact, it looks like Macron will outperform the exit poll by getting about 66% or so of the vote. Hopefully this election will finally get rid of the Le Pens, although Marine's daughter might try and carry on the tradition.

Do you mean Marion Marechal? She's the niece, not the daughter of MLP. And honestly, MMLP's brand of more traditional and traditionalist FN might cause the part to lose its populist edge in the industrial Northeast

AHahahahaahhhhaha.

I thought it was fake. It wasn't... https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/861317789537193988

Pretty good performance for a human being with Le Pen as a surname. Yes, it could be much better, but stil not that bad.

France would be better off with Fillon. Le Pen & FN, it is time to go. Probably someone without her "past" like Dupont-Aignan or Fillon (without Penelope gate) can take over/create a new party/win primaries for Les Républicains . And then win additional 15%.

Hopefully, Macron will be as tough on immigration/integration issues as Deporter-In-Chief, Mr Obama.

Have they counted non-French territories yet? I'd imagine that would boost macron's total to atleast 67%.

Wow, this result is just embarassing. I was way off. I guess I have to admit I don't get French politics.

According to NYT, Macron almost has double the vote of Le Pen. She significantly underperformed regarding pre-polling.

Someone explain what Clinton's tweet means. Is she referencing how the media poo-poos her attempts to point out Russian interference as a reason for her loss?
