Did you really leave the PVDA for a tiny party?

Would you never vote for Social Democrats?

I've never voted for anything else other than SPD in all elections since I'm eligible to vote, starting in 2009. And I never missed an election since. Just one exception: City council in 2014, where 22 votes could be cast (the voting system is complicated). A friend of mine run is a CDU member and I awarded him three votes, the maximal number per candidate possible. In the 2016 mayoral election in my town, I voted for the independent challenger over the Free Voters incumbent. The challenger was backed, against the will of local party officials, by the local youth wing of our party, that I chaired at the time, but lost the election with a surprisingly close vote.

No, i did never vote for them yet but that could change. To be honest, i'm quite partisan now, however i position myself on the more moderate side than fellow party members, and don't call myself a marxist, but a democratic socialist. Currently the party (s.pa) is led by a 27 year old, who said our party is extreme, but that their party needs to become folksy again (i dislike him, he's a hypocrite). They have no principles, and would enter government with n-va. A party that wants to split Belgium. I like the Walloon social democrats though. You would likely be an Open VLD / MR voter here, i think. Maybe s.pa but no PS.

s.pa would be my third choice after Green and PVDA. Open VLD fourth and CD&V fifth (but I do appreciate them more on a local and regional level, just their blank leaders don't attract me, and that's why i'm not in favour of them, and even put the liberals in front of them). But on a local level, i could see myself vote christian democrat to oust liberals out of city administration. s.pa usually is weak on a city level, and irrelevant. I now live in a suburb or a more rural area with a strong Open VLD / CD&V rivalry, and while i prefer currently Open VLD on a federal level, i prefer CD&V on a local level.

In almost all cases i prefer their Walloon counterparts, and I do hate N-VA and the fascist Vlaams Belang.

PVDA doesn't exist here, but I hope they'll grow strongly so they can expand towards here, and while unlikely, if they do, i'll likely head their list, because who else would? I literally don't know anyone from this municipality who's a member. And if we run, we will get like 2% of the vote (you need 5% to get into city council), and act as a spoiler for greens and social democrats. We could always form a cartel, but I would only accept it if i get at least 2nd place, aka it won't happen.

For some reason I found funny your argument of "I hate sp.a because they will do deals with those that want to destroy Belgium's unity", if only cause that is a right wing talking point here Tongue

not really because of that, but tell me what's social democrat about what N-Va did propose and they agreed with. It's simply unacceptable and worse than the VVD-PvdA government in Netherlands which killed PvdA. It's like abandoning all your values and ideals to enter government. It's even electoral fraud. I mean one guy is openly supporting Gabbard and Trump... The proposals were so right-wing (it leaked) that they only wanted to show that Belgium doesn't work because PS vetoes them, and if they did agree, we would grow to 30-40% and Ecolo to 25% in Wallonia.
