I am trying this again, limiting the election to only 2 tickets, and changing the Democratic Presidential candidate.

In 2008, for some strange reason, the Republican Party becomes more liberal and the Democratic Party becomes more conservative to moderate.

Republicans nominate
Sen Lincoln Chafee (RI)  Pres
Sen Olympia Snowe (ME) VP
All northeastern ticket

Democrats nominate
Fmr Sen John Breaux (LA) Pres
Sen Blanche Lincoln (AR) VP
All southern ticket

What are your views on how this election would turn out?
What would a map look like?
