The f'ing thing was not even scored. They just did it. It's sort of like Obamacare redux in that way - you need to vote for it, to find out what's in it. Even if I loved the idea of bankrupting folks who can't pay their medical bills, this kind of just doing it, without all the facts at hand, is an automatic no from me. Yeah, I understand, things needed to be rushed to push through a highly problematic tax bill, that is going to slash revenue (and balloon the deficit), and reduce progressively, but I digress. Pelosi was right on that one - this really is more of a tax bill. The pesky health care thing, and the attendant subsidies, just needed to be chopped away at, as a part of the process of reducing government expenditures - to the sick poor.

The fight in a 52 member Senate Majority is going to be interesting. I understand Snowe, Cotton, Daines, and Capito have issues with the bill.

I think that the healthcare fight will be far more damaging to the party than imagined. They couldn't pass it on the first try and this barely passed the House 217-213.

In the house, yes, and the "deciding vote" ads haven't really been used against house members. In the senate, ObamaCare passed with the exact number of votes required, and that is where the "deciding vote" ads came from.
