Obviously, I'm generalizing.  I think the generation that started heavily embracing postmodern beliefs and attitudes is what really led to society's ongoing decline.  That's why the culture wars are being fought between SJWs and neo-Nazis right now - neither of which I'd consider a very sympathetic group.

It's absurd to suggest that people support ISIS just because they don't want an anti-American war criminal who gasses kids and then bombs the hospital to cover it up, in power. If an American president did that, the True Left would be calling for his ouster, and calling America the Great Satan.
