On the one hand: Very famous and charismatic, seems pretty intelligent and media savvy.

On the other: Could easily be painted as “coastal Hollywood liberal elitist” without irony by the GOP.

I can see anything from a repeat of the 2016 map to a bigger win than Biden’s and he becomes the new Democratic Reagan.

Perfect bait for the anti-elitist element, but Biden/Harris was also an exceptionally weak ticket. In the suburbs where this election was decided, it was more of a referendum on Trump than anything else, so Clooney still pulls it off.
