The decline of the Midwest in a nutshell.  It's kinda sad.

Dane county and its surrounding areas are doing very well in Wisconsin, and MN is looking good too, probably because of how well the state is doing. With that kind of growth in the twin cities, it's hard to see MN trending away.

Although Trump won a lot of declining areas, he also won a lot of fast growing areas. Glad to see my two Home Counties both growing at a fast clip.

Most of the fast growing areas that he did win, he won by a smaller percentage than Romney.   Or at least it looks like the fast growing areas trended away from him.

IA-03 already has the core counties in the Des Moines MSA. It's only really lacking Story county which is technically the Ames MSA. They only appear together at the CSA level.

So what about IA-03 gaining Ames and lose areas of SW IA?

In IA it won't depend on the urban areas. It will depend entirely on what creates the most compact overall plan for all 4 CDs with minimum population variance using whole counties. If that means separating Polk county from any of its neighbors they will. If it means lumping them together, they'll do that instead.

I really hope there's a true Hamilton County district come 2022.

I'm terrible at navigating the census website - can someone link me to county estimates (and if possible % change since 2010) for Georgia?

When do the city/CDP estimates drop?

Two weeks from now on May 25.  Not CDP.  Incorporated places and minor civil divisions.
