I've apparently missed a lot today.

Hope sinks, shit floats.

Perspective: As we conclude Trump's 6th week, his AG is holding a news conference on whether he will -- or won't -- recuse himself on Russia

Eric @Schneiderman, New York's Attorney General, is now calling for Sessions to "immediately resign."

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I only want Sessions to recuse himself -- not to resign. At the end of the day, I just want a fair and just investigation into this administration's ties to Russia, and I'm pretty confident that Trump will just pick another lackey of his without any obvious connections to Russia and who ultimately won't recuse himself.

Odds of resigning: 1/100
Odds of recusal: 79/100
Odds of stonewalling: 20/100

I'd be shocked if Sessions doesn't recuse himself. This is a nothingburger, but it is a steaming nothingburger, so I don't see why we shouldn't try and find out if it's hot before taking a bite. By the end of the year I'll laugh at this sorta like I do Rick Perry now (remember when Democrats got a mugshot out of that scandal).

Good. This counts as a win. Now we can take a step toward an Investigation.

So what happens when he recuses himself?

As noted in the statement, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of VA will handle any investigation into this matter.

A NYT review of Dane Boente. Seems legitimate.

He's talking about how he and the ambassador discussed Ukraine. What is the goal here?

Taken from Twitter:

Sessions on the WH: "I feel like, they don't know the rules, the ethics rules, most people don't."

I don't have the context so take with a grain of salt.

Edit: Fuller context ...

Q: Pres. Trump, Spicer said you shouldn't #Recuse

AG Sessions: "...They don't know the rules, the ethics rules, most people don't."

Lol... now Kushner is in the mix...

At this point, is there anyone who didn't meet with the Russian ambassador?

I'm actually inclined to agree w/ Sessions here. I do think he has much better command of the ethics rules than anyone in the WH

Not like that's saying much.

Again, you're being deliberately obtuse. No one cares that a senator met with an ambassador. The problem is that he lied about it.

A group meeting that is part of Senate business is hardly the same thing as a person to person meeting. Plus, none of those failed to disclose it while under oath in a confirmation hearing.
