PSOL, parochial boy, Nathan, Battista, and also the poster who asked me this question are all very decent.

What do you predict to be the most groundbreaking/influential future technological advancement of your lifetime?

The smartphone.

I remember when we didn't have them, and now everyone has one.

If Adolf Hitler was in the dock at Nuremberg, and the evidence of his guilt in crimes against humanity was incontrovertible, would you support executing him?

I'd shoot him myself. Not usually a fan of the death penalty but some people just deserve it.

Ever gotten away with something that could land you in jail?

Better than most I suspect, although I pine to return to Hoboken, which I have not been to since last January due to heart failure and then covid.

Why do interest rates continue to be close to zero in the face of massive deficits and debt, seemingly defying everything that I learned in economics and finance classes long, long, before most of you were born.

Ask Jerome Powell... I am one of those born long, long, after you took finance classes.

I liked Walter B. Jones of North Carolina but he's sadly passed away. Maybe Phil Scott. Historically and locally for me, Jacob Javits, John Lindsay, and Fiorello La Guardia are great NY Republicans.

Cats or dogs? (Or other? Or neither?)

Trousers? Unless we're talking about women, in which case I prefer skirts

Not a good person to ask because I like music on an individual basis and not mainly on basis of genre.

What are your thoughts on the alternate history genre?

It’s fine as a concept but lots of times lends itself to some more... unsavoury elements of society to write out their darkest desires. I am not an avid reader of the genre.

What movie scene never fails to make you cry?

So when I was 11 or 12 I ended up at a sci fi event somehow. I think it was going on at the mall so I got sucked into it. Now one of the authors who was selling his books there started talking to me and asked me what my favorite genre of science fiction was. I, knowing basically nothing about sci fi, fumbled over what to answer and said I liked “spacey stuff”, hoping I impressed him. So he pitched me his book for a while and I got out of there as quick as I could.

Now to answer the question. I guess the death star from Star Wars. It’s an iconic design and I can’t really think of that many others.

Anyway for my question: Who’s the most controversial musician you listen to?

Dark all the way.
Do you prefer the standard party color scheme or the Atlas color scheme?
