How much of an effect can age have on someone's presidential campaign today? Donald Trump was the oldest person to be elected for a first term, so it seems that as life expectancy increases, people accept having older and older presidents. How much is too old to run for president? Is Bernie Sanders too old to run again? Joe Biden?

We have elected Presidents from their mid-40s (John F. Kennedy, Barack Obama) to 70 (Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump) in the last 70 years...

A lot for Democrats. Not much for Republicans.

Every Dem elected President in the past 60 years was Under 53 years old....

Every Republican elected President the past 60 years... was Over 53!

So seems to matter a lot to Dems (although Trump being Trump & being the Oldest person ever elected President, could somehow change prior trends/rules?)

If there's grass on the field...

Oh, you meant, erm... yes, of course. It doesn't matter!

Obviously Sanders and Biden are far too old. Trump is a borderline case but clearly is in the early stages of dementia.
