I like the way that Atlas does it. Red traditionally is the color of the left.

I like things that are different, so of course. The only problem is that if I make a map here and post it somewhere else, people get upset I use the "wrong colors" (it's cost me upvotes on Reddit).

Definitely. Much easier on the eyes on top of the greater symbolic logic.

Not really but I understand the coding would be impossible to change. The main thing I really want is that the forums need to become mobile-responsive somehow (or have a mobile skin). Logging into the forums on my phone makes me feel like I'm using dialup.

Why? Better to despise the silly media color scheme.

No, blue for the Dems and red for the GOP is better in my opinion.

Why? Red is a Socialist/lefty color.

Frankly, any other color scheme is degrading and disgusting.

I prefer symbols that actually have meaning to random color schemes based on an alphabetical coincidence, so clearly Atlas colors.

Why is America virtually the only democracy where the center-right party is assigned red while the center-left party is assigned blue?

It's fine for the forum, but I would never use it off the forum.

This is how I feel. I prefer this color scheme on Atlas because I don't like the shade of blue assigned to Republicans on here. It's too dark and makes shaded maps harder to read.

I prefer the Atlas colors on Atlas, and the regular colors everywhere else.

Republicans are red because they were originally left-wing

I've seriously seen people use that argument.

Democrats aren't a true center-left party.  Historically, the U.S. Dems have very little in common with British Labour, PS, or other European social democracy parties that adopted the color red.

The democrats are still center-left in relation to the political spectrum in the United States, but you are right that the democrats historically are more similar ideologically to say the libdems than labour

Then they should be a gold colour, the colour of the centre.
