Martin Heinrich introduces a Constitutional Amendment (with Tom Udall)  to overturn Citizens United...
This should gain Heinrich a little good will/ credibility with Progressives.

His full Tweet:
"I am proud to join @SenatorTomUdall in introducing a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United and get big money out of politics."

Obviously pointless, so maybe he's interested in running after all. I have some reservations but I would definitely consider backing him.

Why is Heinrich getting credit for this but not Udall?  The language of the tweet makes me think it's Udall who is actually introducing the amendment proposal.

B/c Heinrich is mentioned more on this board as a possible 2020 candidate or VP ... than Udall is

On this board but nowhere else.  10 years ago everyone on this board thought Mark Warner was the savior of the Democratic party.

Too bad Heinrich voted against the Klobuchar Amendment.

Yeah the whole "OMG Democrats are doomed" thing is ridiculous. If anything, Democrats should be no worse than even odds to win in 2020 given that Trump literally won the race by winning three states by less than 1 point and another 4 by less than 4 points.

-Depends on how Trump does and the quality of the Democratic candidate.
