Not named Kamala Harris or Cory Booker of course, because let's say they decide not to run and wait until 2024. Not Biden either since he's highly unlikely to run. Don't say Kanye either, because he's not a Democrat.

Without a black candidate or a Clinton, who will be able to court black voters with success?

If Edwards runs a competent campaign, I think he has the highest ceiling with them.

Kander or Cuomo. JBE may be a vice presidential contender. Cuomo won NY governorship because he won black voters, and got influential black support (Floyd Flake, Al Sharpton, Tamika Mallory).

I think you'd see a regional split between JBE and Cuomo/Kander. Let us not forget that any southern Dem elected these days is elected thanks to the overwhelming support of the black community in their district.
