Democrats win the Electoral college.
The Clinton 2016 states (232ev) plus FL-29 (261ev) and NC-15 (276ev)

Roy Cooper being the running mate of whoever doesn't give the state to the Dems. Remember, Paul Ryan didn't make Wisconsin even close in 2012.

I agree, but it has more to do with himself than his home state, I think.

Btw, have you seen his TV ad where he talks about his family, and there is old footage of him playing with his kids ? I know Americans love that kind of things. He could be the kind but serious grandpa of the next election, the antithesis of everything Trump is.

He could be the uncle Joe of whoever the next Nominee is, if he does it right, which Tim Kaine failed to do.

I fhink the lesson that future Democratic VP candidates can take from Kaine is not to try too hard to be Joe Biden.

Anyway, Cooper will not be the VP candidate unless he somehow ends up in the Senate.

I think this is such a misunderstood notion regarding Cooper.

NC Usually votes for a Dem Governor...

But almost always votes for a Republican President (other than Obama'08 by 14k votes)

We have to see how Cooper runs his government first. He could be a good Senator or cabinet appointment.
