While we're at it, I hereby nominate AustralianSwingVoter as Deputy Secretary of Federal Elections.
Thank you very much Secretary Peebs. I am honoured to be appointed to this position, and I look forward to serving Atlasia as Deputy Secretary of Federal Elections.

Something I forgot to sort out yesterday.

Firstly, very sorry Peebs for the abruptness of my departure, however I will once again stress it isn't permanent. I'm taking a sabbatical, as my personal and private lives are both rather messy at the moment, and the anger, stress and hotheadedness has been starting to bleed over into Atlas.

Secondly, when I do return, hopefully January but definitely by March, if it isn't too much trouble I'd rather like my job back.

Also, once again, as I'm locking myself out of Atlas, if you need to contact me, PM me on AAD. It's the only account I can't lock myself out of without extreme difficulty.

I hereby nominate AustralianSwingVoter as Deputy Secretary of Federal Elections.
Might as well make this official, since he was the closest thing to an opposition that applied.
Thank you Madam Secretary for the opportunity!

Since ASV failed to provide a sheet of preferences, I'll just make a list of who got elected, and how many first preferences they got, courtesy of Wulfric. If anyone can provide me with a sheet of preferences, I should be able to get the details calculated relatively quickly.

Elcaspar (inc.) - 17
Blair2015 (inc.) - 16

fhtagn (inc.) - 16
razze (inc.) - 16
tack50 - 16
thumb21 (inc.) - 16

LouisvilleThunder (inc.) - 14
ReaganClinton (inc.) - 14
lfromnj - 13

Lakigigar - 6
Write-in: Weatherboy1102 - 2
Write-in: Pericles - 1
Write-in: Peebs - 1

tack edited his vote and Wulfric didn't notice, the actual first prefs are Tack 15, Blair 17

Also, I'm pretty certain archon's vote for lfromnj will be invalid, given he only has 18 posts. That should additionally bring lfromnj down to 12 votes.

No? The post minimum to register is 15, and Archon's 16 pre-election posts are unanimously within the 8 weeks preceding the election.

Was that changed recently? I could have sworn it was 20.

It hasn't been higher than mid teens in years. I remember when it was 50 posts, but that was a long time ago.

Must be confusing it with something else then. Weird, I could have sworn it was always 20 posts to register.
Wait, didn't it used to be 10 posts to register and another 10 posts to be eligible to vote, or something like that?

House:
cinyc - 17
Lumine - 16

LouisvilleThunder - 16
ReaganClinton - 16

razze - 16
Blair - 15
Thumb - 15

Elcaspar - 13
Leinad - 13
Roblox - 11
TexasConservative - 1

Elcaspar and Leinad are also elected without quotas, but I'll need more specific preferences to make sure. I'll probably go through the election thread and get 'em myself in the morning.

cough cough three days later.....

Hey, I thought you were compiling prefs. Isn't that how being the Deputy is supposed to go? (well, not officially, but...)

Am I the Deputy? I thought Encke was still the Deputy?

Did Peebs forget to certify the election results or is there just a hold-up?

We f---ed up the counts. Currently in progress.
More proof that the elections secretary shouldn't rely on using potentially inaccurate trackers and should instead tabulate and calculate the final results independently.

Given the confusion over disputed votes, I think it'd be better for a complete fresh recount from the DoFE rather than relying on potentially incorrect media and party counts.
