Old Labor Party HQ

This shall serve as the headquarters for the Old Labor Party (official abbreviated moniker: "OLP"; official color: #3e000a).

The Old Labor Party was created in advance of the most recent election as a vessel for Olds and other loyal foot-soldiers of the Labor Party who believe in preserving both the game and the left-of-center coalition that our former Party established over the past decade, and to provide a spiritual retreat from recent deviations within our own broader tent.

Given the Old Labor Party won roughly 25% of At-Large Senate seats and only narrowly lost a regional seat this weekend, it is long past time to setup a HQ and a committee to establish provisions for the near future (virtually all founding members, including myself, have been out of town or handling more important RL issues for the past week or more - hence the delay).

The Old Labor Party will operate as the quintessential smoke-filled room: players who are not comfortable with this dynamic may not appreciate the dynamic of this party and may therefore not wish to join. However, our ultimate desire is to rejoin with our siblings-in-arms and restore the glory of our Labor Party & left-of-center ancients.

I'm still in a state of partial disbelief that you're actually going against a Labor President, but if it's all genuine, I really appreciate everything you're doing. Hopefully giving you a good pref proves to be a prudent decision. Though honestly I just have enough of an admiration and affinity for you that it's difficult to not treat you well when I see you on a ballot.

Virtually everybody who "I went against" are good, long-term friends (except Crane, who I can't even remember) whom I have no ill-will toward in this context, but just as I did in 2015 (I'm sure you remember, Wulfric), there are some of us who will always advocate for the continuation of this game and our ideological hemisphere - which are often one and the same - regardless of what needs to be done. Even my biggest long-term ideological and partisan enemies I think will confirm this if they're being honest.
