Fairly far on the left with a focus on environmental issues and income distribution, but still a supporter of markets and trade insofar as they meet those ends

He his overall ideology is representative of the average Evangelical Conservative. Strong social conservative views, but with a modern presentation of them. He seems to be economically conservative, but cautiously so. Possibly even a small tinge of soft populism in some of his economic views.

His foreign policy, in part, is likely based off his religious and social views (i.e. support for Israel), but on other foreign policy views I'm sure so. I don't think he is a neoconservative or a hawk, prob somewhere in between hawk and dove.
