Not listening to bagpipe music today?

Go to the corner of Frederick and George Streets.  On one side there are a bunch of people in tartan kilts and a big banner that says "God Created One Man and One Woman" and some people standing around with signs quoting the bible and one dude is playing a Amazing Grace on the bagpipes.  On the other side there are a bunch of people with wild hair and facial jewelery and rainbow flags and banners that say "We're Here; We're Queer" and stuff like that.  They're chanting slogans and one guy has a saxophone.

I'm not sure what it's all about.  I can't quite see that intersection from my window so I don't know if they're still there, but they were about an hour ago.

I did see that. So lame. I think a counter-protest has started near the library. I'm currently sitting in the SMC raising money with WIXQ.

hahaha.  I must have walked right past you!  I'm not usually in the SMC but I had business there today.  I saw the table with a few students there and the music blasting and the baked goods on the table.  I don't know what you look like or I'd have said "howdy."

I was the husky kid in the flannel wearing a santa hat! That's how I'll be dressing for the rest of the semester pretty much haha.

Lots of Knocked Loose lately. Currently, however, August Burns Red's Christmas album is bumping.

Been listening to an unbelievable amount of Converge lately. One of the best bands ever, hands down.

Kaonashi - The Depressive Spectrum

These dudes are from Philly and write some of the most powerful, passionate music I've ever heard. It's honor to know them.

I just listened to the new Spoon record Hot Thoughts

Didn't really like it. Which is a shame, because that band was so important to me as a kid.

I've been listening to a lot of rap lately, specifically Tyler The Creator, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Yachty, Wu Tang Clan, Lil Dicky, Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, NWA, Danny Brown, and others.

I dig it, but I don't love it. I find myself loving the songs, but it just doesn't feel like a Gorillaz album, you know? It feels more like the songs belong to the featured artists rather than to Gorillaz.

Charger is probably one of the best songs I've heard all year though.
