Complete harpsichord and organ music - Johann Adam Reincken

Even if you don’t usually listen to classical (or in this case baroque) music, I encourage you to try listening to this. Put it on, lie down, close your eyes, and let yourself be transported to a different time and place entirely. I especially like An Wasserflüssen Babylon, the first organ piece in the set. Also, be sure to use Adblock, as the ads in the video can really disrupt the experience.

I listen to my German music playlist very heavily: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4hTQQ6JJcq95KV5bI4hToy?si=__RKRgmmRKKJxuPJ70krrw

4 of my top 5 artists and 8 of my top 10 songs in my Spotify 2019 Year in Review were from this playlist.

It's painfully mainstream until about halfway in, veers sharply into schlager (both classical as well as the trashier modern stuff), then briefly forays into 90s hip hop, then into a complete mess, then into techno, suddenly Austrian/Swiss, then back to random.

Naturally in this time of crisis.... my thought sprung to mind of a Classic OC "Hardcore Punk" band from way back in the early '80s.

Although I could have played a "clean cut", instead decided to post a video of them playing live in some record store in SoCal....

The Adolescents: Amoeba

"Amoeba amoeba
Amoeba amoeba
Amoeba amoeba
Amoeba amoeba
We are the scientists in the lab
Looking through a microscope
The little glass slides they never lie
How can this small mind cope?
I've never seen anything like it before
This amoeba's got a mind of it's own
But don't turn your back you stupid science world
This is reaching for the telephone
Amoeba amoeba
Amoeba amoeba
Amoeba amoeba
Amoeba amoeba
A one celled creature a one celled thing
It hardly knows it's alive
You're better off dead if you only knew
Your growing life is taking a dive
I've never seen anything like it before
This amoeba's got a mind of…
"

Please support the works of the original artists, as I have over the years....

John Prine  not only tested positive for COVID-19. but it also appears that based upon his Medical Conditions and Statements from his family.... this looks bad indeed.

Not only is John Prine one my favorite singer-songwriter cross-over music folk/Country cross-over artists of all time, and as a Vietnam-Vet and postal worker wrote many classic songs when he was "discovered" way back in the days...

Vietnam Vet, Postal Worker from an Appalachian-American background.

Likely not a big name for many of you but...

Songs like Paradise

Sam Stone

Looks like I might be losing a rock n'roll legend that I only had the chance to see once live bcs of COVID-19:

How many more?Huh
