I didn't think Orange County was that surprising, but the margin was definitely surprising.

For Trump (flips):
Pinellas, FL
Trumbull, OH
Macomb, MI (margin)
Elliott, KY (margin)
Suffolk, NY
Monroe, FL

For Clinton (flips):
Orange, CA (margin)
Cobb, GA
Gwinnett, GA
Fort Bend, TX
Whitman, WA

There are a lot of rural counties in Democratic states that flipped. I don't mention them only because I don't necessarily recall them from memory.

Gray's Harbor and Pacific in WA have to be two big surprises as well, especially the margin Trump won by

Yeah, if we're counting margins, then Elliott KY definitely qualifies.

In Maine I'd say the most surprising were Androscoggin and Kennebec. I did not expect those to flip.

I think Niagara County, NY, warrants a mention, not necessarily because of the outcome, but how stark it was. This went from being a consistently polarized county that refused to ever swing to an almost 20 point Trump victory.

2004: Kerry 49.29/Bush 48.78
2008: Obama 49.65/McCain 48.65
2012: Obama 49.4/Romney 48.84
2016: Trump 56.77/37.93
