Close counties are a rare thing today. It's nice (I guess?) to see fairly large counties like Stanislaus and Fresno on the list.

OR---

Most Dem:

1.) Multnomah- 73.3% Democratic
2.) Benton-  60.1% Democratic
3.) Hood River- 59.5% Democratic
4.) Washington- 56.9% Democratic
5.) Lane- 53.4% Democraic

Most Rep:

1.) Lake-  76.9% Republican
2.) Grant- 74.0% Republican
3.) Harney- 73.3% Republican
4.) Wheeler- 72.2% Republican
5.) Sherman- 71.8% Republican

Closest:

1.) Deschutes- (43.0 D- 46.6 R) +3.6 R
2.) Marion- (42.2 D- 46.3 R) +4.2 R
3.) Tillamook (43.0 D- 48.9 R) +5.9 R
4.) Polk (40.8 D- 47.0 R) +6.2 R
5.) Clackamas (47.6 D- 41.4 R ) +6.2 D

Notes- I was a bit surprised to see Washington County outrank Lane County for highest Democratic results. Although I was a bit surprised to see Malheur not in the top 5 Republican counties, I had predicted a bit of a drop off in Republican support due to the high percentage of Mormons in the County, as well as a large Latino population (Although many are working under labor contracts as foreign nationals to support the agricultural sector in the Snake River Valley).

Most Democratic: Suffolk (79.5 Clinton/16.5 Trump)
Most Republican: Plymouth (50.7 Clinton/43.4 Trump)

Municipalities:

Most Democratic: Cambridge (89.2 Clinton/6.5 Trump)
Most Republican: Tolland (61.9 Trump/32.9 Clinton)

I have no idea why Tolland is so right-wing. New Marlborough (two towns to the west) voted for Clinton by a bigger margin than Trump's margin in Tolland.

Durham - 78% D
Orange - 73% D
Hertford - 68% D
Edgecombe - 65% D
Warren - 65% D

Graham - 79% R
Yadkin - 79% R
Mitchell - 78% R
Randolph - 77% R
Cherokee - 77% R

This, though Graham is fractionally higher for Trump than Yadkin, the latter has a larger margin.

Durham and Orange (the latter of which I live in), were also 1st and 2nd for the Dems in the Senate race and Governor's race.

Most Democratic:
1. Shelby (Memphis): 62% D
2. Davidson (Nashville): 60% D
3. Haywood: 54% D
4. Hardeman: 53% R
5. Hamilton (Chattanooga): 56% R

Most Republican:
1. Wayne: 86% R
2. Scott: 85% R
3. Grangier: 83% R
4. Hancock: 83% R
5. Fentress: 83% R

There are numerous other 80-82% Trump counties.  For the record, Knox(ville) is 59% R and Williamson (WOW-like wealthy Nashville suburbs) is 65% R with a relatively large third-party vote.  In the right circumstances, Republicans can sweep in Tennessee statewide races, as Bill Haslam did in 2014.

It also helps that the Democrats have nominated clowns the past two cycles.

Yes, because its a beautiful place to live, go check it out sometime (Riverdale,Woodlawn, other white areas) don't count. The only nice areas of the Bronx are majority white, its just a fact my man.
