I hoped it would give some of our more unassuming posters peace of mind about the improbability of what could be a rather sticky situation.

Yes, I'm sure it would have nothing to do with being mean.

After looking at your pictures, all but a few of you need ever worry about an attractive man asking you to dance.

That's terrible news. Really. I'm very angry that men don't find me attractive.

The "I'm flattered ..." line. It doesn't happen often though

It depends on the level of interest. If he were hot, I would say yes. However, that is not always the case. I recall one time when I was in France on a class trip in eleventh grade I was asked by someone who looked like a younger Michael Dukakis. His whole manner was oleaginous to say the least, and I was offended by the fact that he seemed to think me a cheap pouffiasse (despite a kernel of truth in the perception). I told him, "Va voir ailleurs si j'y suis!". I got the point across, needless to say. It can be said thus that my reactions vary.

I see you found your thesaurus.

4, but as was suggested by another poster, I might be thinking 3.  Since I have acctually been to gay clubs, the idea of seeing guys dancing with each other does not bother me, but I am certainly not into that myself.

No migrendel really talks like that.  I used to talk to him on AIM and he was exactly the same.  And I doubt he had thesaurus time on AIM.

At school dances, sometimes guys or girls have to dance with each other when there aren't enough of the opposite gender. It happens. Tongue So it's pointless to become offended or extremely frightened if someone of the same gender asks you to dance with them.

I would give him a bible and talk to him about Jesus Christ and how he can turn from his sinful ways and be saved.
Nothing wrong with telling another guy how beautiful he is.  I didn't say anything about sex.

Jeez, what's up with everyone?  I would be very flattered, and probably blush (though I'd say no).  I guess some of you just can't take a compliment Wink

Rude?  I think I'm doing him the greatest of favors.

Preston, why would you save him from a God that is recognized as loving towards all people?

I'm saving him from hell.
So all gays are going to hell? What's your criteria for going to hell?

I don't dance...

But depending on how good looking he is, I might.  That sounds rather shallow, but at least I'm honest.

Most likely, I'd probably say "no thanks," and ask if he wanted to sit down and talk or something.  But that's just me.

It's pretty clear in the bible that you're not supposed to be gay.  If you don't follow that you're probably the kind of person who ignores most of god's laws altogether.

The Old Testament also says the crippled are sinners.  If you get hit by a drunk driver, does that mean you are going to hell?

Also, where in the Bible does it say you are not supposed to be gay?

Here's my stance:
If he's gay, and never changes his ways and asks for forgiveness, he's going to hell.  If he changes pronounces his faith in Christ and is redeemed through baptism he is saved.
What if you're straight but never pronounce your faith in Christ and get baptized? Do you go to hell?
