If Bernie is healthy & running, he will win. If not -

1 - Kirsten Gillibrand
2 - Joe Biden
3 - Al Franken
4 - Elizabeth Warren
5 - Andre Cuomo

Conservative & big money stooges like Cory Booker are toxic to the Sanders wing & have little chance of winning. Joe Biden has voted for Iraq War, supported TPP, is socially the least liberal of the group, etc ,so he has issues but I am not sure if the other candidates are strong enough to exploit it.

Al Franken & Gillibrand have the biggest chance of being accepted by both wings ! Warren has too little connect with blacks, independents, Hillary voters, etc to easily win this (without a huge fight) !

If Bernie is healthy & running, he will win.

Yeah, if Bernie runs, he probably wins as long as he is healthy enough to campaign.

1. Sherrod Brown (if he wins reelection)
2. Al Franken
3. Elizabeth Warren
4. Andrew Cuomo
5. Cory Booker or Tulsi Gabbard

Most likely

1. Elizabeth Warren
2. Al Franken
3. Kirsten Gillibrand
4. Sherrod Brown (if he wins reelection)
5. Kamala Harris

Best chances of beating Trump (only including those in above list).

1. Sherrod Brown: connections to WWC and labor unions gives him the potential to win back some Obama-Trump voters and white males. Populist appeal. Likable but not very charismatic though. Comes across as down to earth and relatable however. Very much an average joe appeal. Has a history of bipartisanship that could somewhat counter any "socialist" claims.

2. Al Franken: Charismatic. His past as a comedian will likely help him more than hurt him by making him likable. Reputation as a workhorse in the Senate can help him be taken seriously. Can do a good job attacking Trump while not coming off as elitist like Hillary. Old SNL clips would be heavily shared on social media. Midwest appeal.

3. Kirsten Gillibrand: Starting to slightly gain national attention. Shined in her recent New York Magazine interview ("If were not helping people we should go the  home") May be portrayed as flip flopper due to her more conservative votes in the House. Can give good stump speeches and has a preacher-like vibe to her. Weakness being that she will be somewhat unfairly compared to Hillary.   Another plus is that she is attractive.

4. Kamala Harris: likable and charismatic. Double minority. Could get the full turnout of the "Obama coalition". Low experience could help her as there would be less time for her to dirty her record. Would have trouble shedding the "coastal elitist" image that would alienate midwest and WWC voters.

5. Elizabeth Warren:  could potentially do a decent job uniting both the Bernie and Hillary wing. Not very likable or charismatic. However she does an amazing job getting under Trump's skin. She will be attacked heavily though over the next couple years so public may not have the best opinion of her. Not very personable at all. Will be portrayed as too far left and will alienate many moderates.

Omissions:

Bernie Sanders:  Bernie will be 78 years old. While he seems to be in good health, he certainly looks his age now. In 2020 he will be even older and will most likely not have the massive stamina and energy a national campaign requires. I also doubt he will run. Will be portrayed as a dangerous socialist.

Joe Biden:    Should have ran in 2016, will most likely also be too old. Highly doubt he will run

Hillary Clinton:    Despite many peoples insistence that she is hell bent on being President, I really don't think she is that desperate to run again. No one wants to see Clinton vs Trump 2. She and her team both made fatal mistakes in 2016, however unless public opinion of her rises dramatically I doubt she runs.

Cory Booker:     Too much evidence of pay for play behavior. Too much of an establishment vibe. Although he is charismatic I doubt Dem's will have any interest in him. Would easily be portrayed as a puppet of big Pharma.

Tulsi Gabbard:     No, just no.

Not to be terse I want to say this idea that Sanders and Warren both won't run at the same time is false. Warren is much more the Massachusetts liberal firebrand while Bernie is actual working class politician if you look at his origins as mayor. It could cometo Bernie, Booker, and Warren.

1. Warren
2. Cuomo
3. Booker
4. O'Malley
5. Gillibrand

Clinton is a rerun, Sanders and Biden are too old, Gabbard is a non-starter and would be torn to shreds in campaign ads as well as Harris ("ultra-liberal CA AA woman, semi-socialist, etc." I can already see those ads from the Trump campaign).

1. Elizabeth Warren: She's a progressive favorite who gives Hillary voters something they've yearned for (a possible first female President) and comes from the big state next to New Hampshire (source of multiple presidential nominees since 1960). It's not clear she'll run, but she starts out very well positioned.

2. Hillary Clinton- Al Gore could have won the primary in 2004. She starts with extreme name recognition, and can argue that she's been vindicated by subsequent investigations.

3. Cory Booker: He's ambitious and media savvy. The Democratic primary landscape favors African-American candidates.

4. Kirsten Gillibrand: She's a high-profile Senator branding herself as one of Trump's top opponents.

5. Kamala Harris: She's probably the most prominent New Senator, and can be a leader on an issue progressives care about (criminal justice reform). She would appeal to African-American voters and feminists.

1. Elizabeth Warren- Progressive and Female, exactly what the Democrats need.
2. Bernie Sanders- Strongest candidate against Trump, experience in the House and Senate, Integrity, Progressive.
3. Joe Biden- He's already beating Trump by 14% according to polls. If ran he'd win, but I doubt he will due to his age.
4. Cory Booker- The Establishment's choice (Hillary 2.0).
5. Tulsi Gabbard- Young, Progressive, and Female. Would have the support of Bernie.

God, when will this meme die?
