As someone whose relatively well off I know it won't effect me much; I am LGBT but I feel like Trump won't try and reignite the social wars and I live in a liberal state any way. I'm far more worried about minorities and those less fortunate than me.

Of course you should worry. A lot. We all should. But we shouldn't lay down and die either. At least Trump gave a gracious speech, semi-incoherent as it was. He could have been talking about walls, putting Hillary in prison, muslims, bad trade agreements and praised his master Vladimir Putin. But he didn't. We are still alive, for the time being.

Frankly, perhaps we should be worry but i don't know honestly. When i arrived at work this morning and i heard my colleague saying "America just lost their mind", i knew Trump won. Look, we don't how is he going to be like. He may do what all politicians do when they arrive at office, do exactly the opposite of what they promissed in the campaign. We just have to see, but i don't know if his main policies, the wall, deportations and tax cuts will come true. He probably will hit the reality wall when he takes office.

I'm not worried about Trump's policies, only how he'll implement them. He hasn't shown himself to be a very empathetic person in the way he speaks about groups or individuals he doesn't like. Hopefully the media will do its job and make sure that whatever he does, it's done ethically and humanely.

As a gay man, I'm scared for my safety. A guy walking out of a gay bar on election night had his head bashed in by two Trump supporters. A lesbian couple found a note on their car this morning that said, I hope your "marriage" gets overturned by a real president.

This sort of thing is now perfectly acceptable in Trump America. You better hope there's someone left to save you when they come after you.
