He's the president--if he publicly criticizes Comey, even if he has every valid reason to, this will probably hurt Clinton more than leaving it alone.

Not sure that reporting rumors necessarily is going high or low. The other thread was a bit silly to be sure though. I don't think there's anything to this, but it is odd that some people in the journo world have heard this specific story a few times. Doesn't mean it will come to anything.

I mean, the journos talking are a million miles of integrity above Mitchell. That doesn't mean they have any real info at all, but they ain't Mitchell. That said, I agree that this video, even if it does exist (which I'm not saying), won't see the light of day. Not even sure I'd be pleased to see it; Putin would only let it go if it helped his aims, and nothing could please me less.
