Cooper can't seem to put this away. I'll take a lead, but I wish he could more consistently overperform Clinton.

I can't believe Cooper is running only one point ahead of Burr.

This is just one poll, I'm still confident he will win by 5 points.

Guys, large parts of NC-01 and Eastern NC is flooded right now. Polling will not be accurate in this state. Also Fayetteville and Lumberton have a lot of flooding as well.

Also McCrory has been all over the response to this storm, which is worse than Floyd in some ways.

I don't know that people are understanding just how bad it is out here. My town is litterally surrounded by other communities that are under water or were underwater yesterday.

The question is in what direction it's biasing the polls.

Those are Democratic areas, so it might be undemining Cooper. At the same time McCrory was "in charge" of a crisis situation providing a temporary bounce.

I thought Eastern NC was Republican?

Depends on what you define as Eastern. Here's the 2014 Senate Map (NOT ATLAS COLORS):

South-eastern is Republican, but has some Black areas and the Whites there are still open to voting for the right Blue Dog (see Mike McIntyre in 2012). The northeastern part (NC-01), while rural, is pretty Black (Black Belt area).

After McCrory's masterful defeat of the Hurricane and the terrorist attack on the NC GOP, it looks like this one is over.
