A writer from TDB teased that a story they were releasing was pretty bad and implied it would make waves, but it turned out to be a dud. It was that one with Trump approving of / laughing at Busey groping a woman from The Apprentice. I mean from my POV if that really did happen, it's disgusting and annoying to me that it didn't get more play, but that's not what happened. I don't think cable news even reported on it, or if they did it was very brief.

I think if someone says TheDailyBeast is releasing something bad/damaging, it should be taken with a grain of salt.

Pretty much. It shouldn't take this, but it is what it is. The 2005 tape was devastating because it was audio/video of lewd comments by Trump. If it was just a transcript, it probably would have only had a fraction of the impact it did.

I think it did hurt, there were a few days with that being the only story. It's just that the Access Hollywood tape had a much bigger impact.

As far as I can tell, no. CNN is airing the Obama/Clinton rally and doesn't have any of this on their main US edition page. WaPo/NYT has nothing either (unless it's buried).

It's like I said - they don't care anymore. The only way it's going to get more play is if there is some new "spicy" twist. Video or audio or picture(s), or possibly if these lawyers get like 6+ accusers all at once and make a big press conference.

I suppose you could say this is an example of how the media works - they want new shiny stories that they can get viewers from. Once they focus on one thing and use it up, they move on and don't return unless something new and exciting develops. More accusers with the same types of stories is not new and exciting to them.
