I'm aware he has, but what I meant was many people in Oregon probably view him as a generic D. Many people in different states likely view incumbents as "generic D/generic R" if they don't know too much about the Senator.

Wyden has been a Senator for twenty years, and has 60% approvals. Given that presidential elections are generally closer than that, I wouldn't call him Generic D.
