I was dissapointed he did not run in 2012 for an open seat (though I deeply appreciate Baldwin).

No.  I just think he was wrong the way he went about it.  He was calling for withdrawl very early on, hurting morale.  It was a bad idea to go in, but once we were in we had to win, not retreat.  The surge worked.

Honestly I think my position has been vindicated with the events of the past few years.
