Clinton only gained 1 relative to the same poll before the debate.  Could be VA is not that elastic these days.

Virginia -- lots of well-educated people and blacks, people who were never going to vote for Donald Trump. Virginia is still conservative on foreign policy -- and this time it is Hillary Clinton who is the conservative. The large number of federal employees would rather have tax increases than job losses.

It may be coincidence, but Republicans have not won the Presidency without winning Virginia since 1924.

I wish they would've polled the 2-way race as well. I think that would have given us a better idea as to how the race has moved. I think if Hillary is up by 7 in a 4-way poll, she could be up 9-10 in a 2-way race.

After the debate I went from following the four-way race to recognizing the reality that Gary Johnson was going to get into the 20s in support or was going to become a near non-factor. My home-stretch polling now recognizes that the presidential race is almost strictly between Clinton and Trump.  This poll will not appear in my polling chart. Too bad.

It's actually a 5-way poll because they included McMullin.

This poll seems to indicate that both Clinton and Trump gained at the expense of other candidates since the debates.

Not too surprising.  There's so much on Trump and Clinton, especially the former, in the news cycle that it tends to push the minor party candidates out of the public consciousness.

Virginia has remained pretty consistent throughout this election cycle. It's pretty much always been a mid-high single digit lead for Hillary (with a couple of polls showing a double-digit lead.)
