So, are pollsters in Colombia that crap, or are there other factors in this surprise?

Alas, I am right. It gives me no pleasure whatsoever. I would, much rather, be wrong.

Question: Do you want to prevent thousands of pointless deaths?

Colombia: No thanks!

Apparently, the Pope had said earlier today that he would travel to Colombia if Peace wins. Well, I guess the trip is postponed indefinitely.

I wonder what the effect of Hurricane Matthew was. It brought heavy rainfall and flooding to Guajira, so I'll be curious if the turnout was particularly low there.

Maybe Colombia were jealous of Venezuela stealing their place as political basketcase of South America, and wanted to show them how it is really done? Or otherwise jealous that we might have had the dumbest referendum result of the year?

Will Santos have to fall on his sword?

People who didn't want FARC to be let off the hook for murders and kidnappings.  No clue what they thought the solution was instead though.

Guaviare voted solidly Si, but I wonder if this made a difference elsewhere?:

Windjammer asked for an explanation of the reason some people had for opposing it, and I answered his question.  Are you going to yell at him for being interested?

Or maybe read the whole post before you go ballistic next time.  You tend to have a problem with that.
