Hard to believe it is so close...You'd think Clinton would be 8-10 points ahead and running away with it.

Yeah, but then you think again and realize it's Hillary Clinton ... and she could blow it.

Nope, I actually thought Trump would be leading in the Morning Consult poll after last week.

It's not surprising, either. There's a reason Trump is being outspent...

What did Hillary say or do to have her numbers collapse?

Nothing, last week was just bad for her(email news) topped off with the fbi report. The fact that shes still leading in the Morning Consult poll, one of Trumps friendliest polls, after last week is a good sign she'll recover.

No. Just no.
Why cite them still.  They are a overrated poll average that want to put in numbers they know are sh**t.

Still happy with this, not bad considering where it comes from.

Since Jerry quoted you Octopus (which means I can see your post) i'll respond. The house effect on the 538 model that you take as gospel shows they dont have a bias, thats fine. However, as a strictly online pollster they've continually shown the race closer then live phone interview polls.

Morning Consult is definitely not a Trump-friendy pollster, lol.

The pro-Hillary clowns are just grasping at every straw now.

She and her PACs are outspending this Trump douche by 200 million to 10 million in ads and everything she manages is a 2-point lead nationally and being a couple points ahead in the swing states (all well within the MoE of course).

Outside of the post convention bump, they have shown this race as low single digits throughout the campaign. They even gave Trump a +4 lead.

So ?

After the DNC, they had Hillary up by 10. Like all the other pollsters ...

They've had the race within the margin of error since July(actually since May but the primaries were still a thing). They are a Trump friendly pollster.

Yes they are, they've had this race within the MoE for a majority of the campaign.

Believe what you want, but maybe it's because the race is (or was) within the MoE for most of the campaign (excl. the 2 weeks after the DNC) ?

Also, MC being a pro-Trump pollster is crazy ... look here:

It wasnt, and Morning Consult making an electoral map is like Reuters making an electoral map, useless.

I also remember them showing Clinton up 15 points against Rubio and Walker at some point. They even showed her leading Kasich by 7 or 8, lol.

They've been putting out polls identical to this since May. I dont really care if there a sucky pollster.

Whatever. These national polls are kinda useless anyway, IMO it's the swing state polls that count.

I still don't know what a Morning Consult is, but friendly to Trump is not amongst one of the things that they are. Their polling generally seems fair.

It's a low single-digit race right now.
