That, and the nation has moved well to the left on transgender issues, while McCrory stayed right where he was.

Believe it or not, I probably would have voted for him in 2008 (I was only 16 at the time). Granted, I was raised in Charlotte and didn't pay as close attention to politics as I do now, but I would have been leaning towards him.

Its seems like ancient history now.
