Former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer has said that he will be a candidate for U.S. Senate in 2006 and he's not holding anything back. While it might not be smart to say some of these things in NY, Spencer has lashed out against Hillary by calling her a liberal.

Lashed out against Hillary for being a liberal!  Now there is a novel concept!

He will be crushed, but at least not as horribly as Pirro.

Calling a centrist a liberal in a center-left state is going to accomplish what? What a loser.

*Sigh* Why do they have to simply attack them for being liberals in a liberal state? Does he actually think that will get him elected?

I f**king hate this state.

I also f**king hate Giuliani now too...

John Spencer? The corrupt mayor of Yonkers?  The boss of one of the last political machines in the state?  I sincerely hope Republicans continue to run these types of people.

I don't know much about him but was beginning to hope he was the nominee. Maybe I'll go back to supporting Cox.

Andrew, I know how upset you are with NY and I don't see Long Island statehood happening anytime soon so come down to PA.  Smiley

I think the only person who has a chance in beating Hillary in 2006 is Giullani. However, Giullani may have his eyes set on the White House in 2008. Personally, I don't believe Giullani will run against her in 2006. I think if he runs for anything it will be for 2008 RNC nomination. If the RNC is smart, they will forget about Hillary's Senate and focus on beating her in 2008 (assuming she gets the nomination). Giullani on the ticket would make New York interesting in 2008.

Clinton would win in NY under both scenarios against Rudy

Hey, it works. You guys usually run away from it. I was just pointing out how it was odd that he'd call someone a liberal in a liberal state.

Call Democrats Liberal, Republicans do.  Call Republicans stupid, Democrats do.  Fact of life, this is.  Wish they would come up with something new, I do.
